The final two stalls inside the food hall at the 135-acre Halcyon development in southern Forsyth County open early next year. Frenchie’s Royal House of Frites and Meats and pizza spot Holmes Slice join Gu’s Dumplings, taco stand Tocayo, Pita Mediterranean Street Food, and Sweet Tuna Poke at the Alpharetta food hall.
Frenchies, from the owners of Butcher and Brew, Lapeer Seafood, and Tocayo, serves burgers, a variety of fries, and soft serve ice cream. The stall is located between Gu’s Dumplings and the forthcoming pizza counter, Holmes Slice.
Chef Taylor Neary of Restaurant Holmes in downtown Alpharetta brings his take on wood-fired pizzas to Halcyon. The pizza counter with a full bar serves pies by the slice or whole pizza. People can watch their pizzas being made in a wood-burning oven via a window looking into the small kitchen at the stall.

In addition to the food hall, Halcyon includes second locations of Butcher and Brew and Cherry Street Brewpub, CT Cantina, dine-in movie theater Cinebistro, Sweet Life Bakery, seafood restaurant Ocean and Acre, and outposts of sweets shop Kilwins and popsicle shop Popbar. Coffee shop Land of a Thousand Hills, brunch restaurant Never Enough Thyme, and Salata Salad Kitchen plan to open soon.
With its apartments, town homes, and single family houses, two hotels, and restaurants and food hall, Halcyon is one of a number of planned communities being reproduced throughout metro Atlanta. Avalon Alpharetta, the Battery Atlanta at SunTrust Park, and Pinewood Forest in Fayette County, along with in-town developments like the Works and its dining hall Chattahooche Food Works in Underwood Hills and the multi-million dollar redo of Colony Square in Midtown, all follow similar blueprints.
