If you like free pizza and movie tickets, go to Big Lou's Pizza next weekend and donate blood to help out the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center.
During Big Lou's 8th Annual Blood Drive and Marrow Registry event, donors will get a voucher for a 20-inch one-topping pizza, a movie ticket, a commemorative t-shirt and the chance to be entered into a drawing for Spurs tickets.
In addition, anyone who signs up for the bone marrow registry will also get a voucher for a free pizza roll.

The event, happening Jan. 18 will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the restaurant's parking lot. There will be 12 donation stations, a DJ to pump up the attendees and free finger foods for those who donate.
The blood drive started in 2012 to honor the restaurant's owner Brian Lujan's late father. During a Facebook Live to promote the event, Lujan explained how his father contracted a disease and relied on blood donations that helped keep him alive.

"Without the blood my dad received he would have passed away in two to three months of his diagnosis, the blood kept him alive for six years," Lujan said.
"This should mean a lot to everyone in San Antonio because you just never know when you are going to need this blood," he continued.
Last year, the blood drive collected over 730 units — which helped save 2,200 lives last year — but the restaurant is hoping to collect more than 1,000 units during this year's drive.
The event comes after the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center sent out a plea for donations as it deals with a blood shortage. The blood bank currently has less than 500 units of blood platelets on its shelves.
