GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A few weeks ago, we posted this question on Facebook, not really thinking about it, just wondering what you liked on your pizza.
We asked: "What are your Top 3 toppings?”
That sparked nearly 300 comments and a wide variety of responses and combinations.
We were blown away by the feedback and how fast the answers were coming in.
Our picks:
John -- Pepperoni, Mushrooms and Banana Peppers.
Amy -- Sausage, Mushrooms and Green Olives.
“And it needs to be heavy-handed on the sausage,” Amy said.
With Super Bowl LIV right around the corner, and with millions of pies expected to be ordered from local stores and national chains, we thought we would ask MLive readers for their Top 3 pizza toppings.
We did a version of this in 2016 when we did our search for Michigan’s Best Pizza, asking readers to build the perfect pizza.
Results
The Top 3 meat toppings: Pepperoni, Bacon and Sausage.
The Top 3 veggie toppings: Fresh Mushrooms, Onions and Green Pepper.
But that doesn’t really settle it. What’s that perfect combination?
