Boston's Pizza begins US expansion with Texas growth spurt - Pizza Marketplace

Boston's Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar has signed a four-unit development agreement with entrepreneurs, Harry Singh and Jesse Thind for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Singh's brother-in-law is a Boston's franchisee in Vancouver and he also opened a 7-Eleven in 2015, a news release said.

Together with Thind, the pair assumes ownership of the Irving, Texas location this month and want to develop additional stores in Flower Mound, Addison, Fort Worth and Southlake.

This multi-unit deal comes as Boston's Pizza is working to grow and establish the brand's Texas home-base. Over the next 10 years, the gourmet pizza franchise is looking to partner with qualified franchisees to open approximately 40 locations in suburban San Antonio, Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth.

The franchise is expanding and recently completed a menu and restaurant redesign that offers franchisees more options in square footage and tech, a well as outdoor seating areas and fire pits.

"The company is on track to double our size in the number of restaurant locations within the next three years," Boston's Pizza International President Jeff Melnick, said in the release.

Throughout North America, Boston's leadership said in the release that it sees $1.1 billion in system-wide sales, with more than 400 locations across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
