Topping the list is Northwest's Whispering Trees Market, at 88 E. Bonita Road (between Hilltop Drive and Flower Street). With 4.5 stars out of 101 reviews on Yelp, the deli, which offers pizza, subs, beer, wine, spirits and more, is a local affordable favorite.

Yelper Chaudhry A. wrote, "A hidden pizza place but not anymore. Ordered a pizza with two types of toppings for the two halves on phone and it was ready to be picked up soon I entered the shop. Delicious pizza, especially the crust..."

2. NY Pizzeria

Next up is Northwest's NY Pizzeria, at 3047 Bonita Road, Suite 107 (between Lynwood Drive and Plaza Bonita Road). It's another top choice, with Yelpers giving the low-priced beer bar, which offers pizza and more, four stars out of 336 reviews.

We looked there to learn more about NY Pizzeria.

"We were established back in 2014 inside of a car wash on 13th & Palm Avenue in Imperial Beach, with hopes of feeding hungry car-wash goers," according to the history section of the business's Yelp profile. "As circumstance would have it, we became very popular in the community with a cult-like following. We were even voted one of the top 10 pizzerias in all of San Diego County!"

As to what the business is known for, "NY  Pizzeria offers authentic New York pizza and specialty pies," it writes on Yelp in the section highlighting specialties. "Join our rewards program and earn 10 stars to get a free pie!"

3. Joe & Ernie's Pizzeria

Village Center's Joe & Ernie's Pizzeria is another low-priced go-to, with four stars out of 202 Yelp reviews. Head over to 2295 Otay Lakes Road, Suite 112 (at Eastlake Parkway), to see for yourself.

Yelper Skuby S. wrote, "My go-to spot with my daughter over the other pizza places in Eastlake. Call ahead if you don't want a 15-20 minute wait, but if you do, it's well worth it."

Yelper Kenneth L. added, "These guys have good pizza and are very professional. They made a couple mistakes tonight with the order and I was upset and overreacted, and they handled it professionally."

4. Zappy Pizza
