Harry Styles has been appearing on television shows to promote his new album (which happens to have a lot of food references on it). Most recently, he appeared on The Ellen Show where he pulled a hidden camera prank on a pizza delivery man, and maybe my little stan heart is biased, but it was comedy gold.
Ellen pulls pranks like this all the time. One person wears an ear piece and has to do or say whatever Ellen tells them to in different public settings. In this case, Ellen was the puppet master of none other than Harry Styles—who was wearing an amazing lime green graphic sweater and pearl necklace, but I digress.
When the pizza delivery man shows up to Harry's dressing room, it's game on and Ellen's first directions include a friendly greeting of "What's uppppp? Come in bro." Followed by a lot of unnecessary but really quite hilarious "bro"s sprinkled into whatever else Harry is says.
The pizza guy comes in and the two hang out for a bit while Harry makes no sense because Ellens feeds him crazy lines to repeat all for our viewing pleasure. One of the standout moments in the eight minute video is when they start actually eating the pizza. It appears to be some sort of half Hawaiian pie, half olives and peppers, cut into grid-like squares rather than the typical eight triangle slices.
Ellen directs Harry to "roll it towards the center" before eating it, which I thought would mean to roll up the entire pizza into a burrito-like situation to eat at all once. I was mistaken. Harry proceeds to take one single slice (keep in mind! the slices are very small since it's not cut normally!) and roll that single piece of pizza around the box? As if the piece of pizza is doing cartwheels? I really don't know how else to explain it. I've said it many times before...but I CAN'T with this man. He looked so damn pleased with himself, too.
Harry and his new pizza delivery friend then stack pieces of pizza onto that tiny plastic table that comes in the middle of a pie. Harry talks nonsense about how much he loves cheese on pasta, tacos, enchiladas, all at Ellen's request. And it was all just a lot. Beautiful, beautiful nonsense.
