Center Court Pizza & Brew to open locations in Klein, Spring - Houston Chronicle

A Houston-based pizza chain is continuing its expansion around the loop with new restaurants opening soon in Klein and Spring.

Center Court Pizza & Brew is a Houston-based bar and pizza place with nine locations in the greater Houston area. They are about to add two new restaurants in the coming months—one in Vintage Park opening in a few weeks at 138 Vintage Park Blvd., and one in Spring opening in June at 24309 Gosling Road.

The new expansions came down to need, Center Court Pizza & Brew Owner Mark Dominguez said. He saw the need to expand around the loop of suburbs surrounding Houston.

“We want to eventually kind of do the whole loop connected all the way through League City,” Dominguez said. “So, we’ll go to Spring and hopefully one on I-45, the Woodlands area, and eventually bring it down to Beltway, 290 and try to make a loop of stores.”

The hole his restaurant is filling is the need for a sports bar-style family restaurant, according to Dominguez. He said the family atmosphere is an important element of the restaurant. Three of his restaurants have playgrounds, as will the Spring location.

“We’re in the suburbs, a lot of kids, there’s a need for kids’ entertainment,” Dominguez said. “I’m a dad of three myself and for me to go out and have a pizza and have an adult beverage, it gets kind of hard.”

His stores are equipped for that, Dominguez said, where parents can have a beer and watch the game while their kids are on the playground or in the arcade.

Pizzas from Center Court are made using all homemade ingredients, he said, on hand-tossed dough. Along with pizza, they have pizza rolls, salads, calzones and tacos. Everything, including the sauces, is made in-house, Dominguez said.

“It’s one of those pizzas that you eat the whole crust, you’ll eat the whole pizza on this one,” Dominguez said.

The restaurant doesn’t just serve standard brews. Dominguez said they’ve had craft beer since opening their first store in Pearland 13 years ago, including Karbach and other IPAs. They have a total of 19 beers on tap, as well as cocktails like martinis and Cuba Libres.
